WGGAN announces exciting changes
Thank you for visiting Women’s Global Green Action Network’s website. We have recently transitioned into two new organizations, so as to more effectively fulfill our organizational goals.
As co-directors and co-founders of Women’s Global Green Action Network we are grateful for the work that we have brought forth over the past two years. WGGAN convened a global strategy meeting of 30 grassroots women environmental leaders and participated in collaborative efforts to bring additional grassroots women's voices to the United Nations. WGGAN partnered with CAWST (Center for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology), A Single Drop, and the Palawan NGO Network to provide the BioSand Water Filter Training to women and their communities in the Philippines. And we hosted an exchange of women environmental justice lawyers and advocates in Bolivia, in partnership with Global Exchange.
After much discussion as co-directors, we mutually determined that the time was right to evolve WGGAN into two entities in order to dedicate more focused attention to our program areas. Although our two initiatives will emphasize distinct types of support, we will continue to collaborate wherever possible.
Both of us look forward to working with you further as our projects develop. Please let us know if you have any questions about these changes. Mary can be contacted at infocircletheearth@gmail.com and Melinda can be contacted at melinda@womensearthalliance.org.
For Women, Peace, and Mother Earth,
Melinda and Redwood Mary
